We receive many letters from all over the world, but two this week are very contrasting.

LETTER ONE: Robert from New York wrote us to tell how he found a Bible Pathway reading certificate we gave his mother back in 1979. She had read her Bible through that year which was about 2 years before she died. It is interesting that Brother Robert found the certificate while leafing through her old Bible.

It just proves that our testimony follows us even after we leave this world. His memories of his mother must be a great comfort knowing that she held God's Word in such high esteem. Heaven truly gets sweeter every day. He asked if we still promote the reading of the Bible and the answer is yes. Now, more than ever, reading and obeying God' Word is of utmost importance. May we all follow the example of Robert's mother and continue reading our Creator's only Guide to Life.

LETTER TWO: Contrasting Robert's letter is one that we received from Eldon in South Dakota.

Brother Eldon pleads with us to pray for the Sioux Indians on the Rosebud Reservation near Parmalee, South Dakota. He says the tremendous poverty and hopelessness of that area is causing the Native Americans there to have a very high suicide rate (ten times the national average). He shows that alcohol, drug abuse, and gang violence is taking a heavy toll on the Sioux Indians there.

We ask you to join in prayer for these that are so adversely affected.

Our thanks to Brother Eldon for bringing this to our attention and our hope is that we will do more than pray but will also seek God's will in how to put action to our prayers to find a way to help fill the need.

Ask the Lord how you can help with this crisis in South Dakota; lives hang in the balance.

Do you have a Bible correspondence course for students in my class at church?

We are grateful to Kimberly for her interest and compliments. However, we do not have a correspondence course at this time. We produced one many years ago, but do not have it available right now.

We do have the Light on Life's Pathway study series which we will be sending to Kimberly. This study series is designed to be used by Sunday School or Bible study groups. It is a quarterly publication that follows the Bible Pathway reading schedule and has a series of questions that can be answered and discussed in a class or study session.

Perhaps you have been looking for Sunday School material that will encourage your students to read and understand the Bible. These quarterly publications can be purchased for only $5.00 per copy. As you know this is much less than most Sunday School material and it directs the class into God's Word instead of man's opinion.
