God’s Love – The Greatest Love of All

His lord said to him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant:
thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over
many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord
(Matthew 25:21).

Dr. Hash Pic

Dr. John A. Hash went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 5, 2012 after several months of battling complications due to diabetes. Although he will be greatly missed, we are rejoicing in the knowledge that he is with our Lord and Savior.

Dr. Hash and his late wife, Letha, started Bible Pathway Ministries 38 years ago. It was his desire to see Bible Pathway Ministries continue after his death. There is nothing more important than reading and understanding the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation.

Dr. Hash has provided over 30 years of writings and publication. We at Bible Pathway Ministries will continue to fulfill the vision that God gave Dr. Hash all those years ago – the vision of providing Bibles and Bible Pathways to all corners of the world. In lieu of flowers we are setting up the Dr. John A. Hash Memorial Fund to send Bibles and Bible Pathways. There will be a memorial in the May edition of Bible Pathway. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry.

Until We're Face to Face

The promise of a plan and purpose is designed by God above
Instilled in us before our birth; He forms us with such love
He calls, equips and leads us…and gives us strength to stand
For when He places a "ministry mantle", it's anointed by His hand
"Child of mine, I know you well, and a watchman you shall be
Standing in the gap for others…leading them to me
This mantle may seem very heavy, but I'll carry the weight for you
And give you strength to intercede, with the faith to battle through
I'll place in you a deep compassion for the lost who need my grace
And give you words to write for me until we're face to face
I'll help you as you walk each road…as husband, father and friend
And give you courage to "walk the talk"…until your journey ends"
And so a warrior has now gone home, to lay his crowns at Jesus' feet
"Well done, my good and faithful servant...your journey is complete …"

In honor and memory of Dr. John A. Hash

We loved this man of God for his emphasis on reading the whole WORD of God - The Holy Bible. BPM devotions is also part of my life.

We also share the grief of my uncle Mr Venkata Reddy who went HOME to be with the Master on February 6, 2012 after battling with paralysis for 7 years.

My emotions, like yours I'm sure, are mixed. I rejoice that Dr. Hash is Home. I sorrow, but not as those without hope.

I have been a reader of the Bible Pathways ministry for well over 20 years. Dr. Hash has faithfully discipled me, and his daily words challenging me to "READ THE WHOLE WORD OF GOD" will ever ring in my walk with the Lord Jesus.

May the Lord continue to honor Dr. Hash's vision of the Word of God into the world, that all may know the Lord Jesus, Who to know is life eternal (John 17:3).

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. We know Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: My day is coming also. I know that he will be missed as well at Bible Pathway.

My wife and I were led to the Lord under John's ministry while he was pastor at the Church of the Open Door in Boise,Id in 1961. We enjoyed many a meal and strawberry pie deserts with him and Letha and we became good friends.

John always had a passion for reading all the word of God from Genesis to Revelation and it is through his encouragement that my wife and I have read the entire Bible at least 40 times and we are currently reading it again this year. May God Bless his ministry.

Since the early seventies, Sue and I have known and admired John and Letha Hash--as exemplary servants of the Lord. We followed them in their ministry at the Sword of the Lord and through the founding of Bible Pathway Ministries at great personal sacrifice. Their legacy is great beyond words. His encouragement and support for the prayer seminar ministry has contributed greatly to our work in the churches around the world. I can imagine the reception that was His when he joined that great cloud of witnesses. May God, now, continue to be Jehovah-Jireh to the Bible Pathways Ministries in the fullest sense of His wonderful name.

To our dear friends at Bible Pathway,

It was with a feeling of sadness I received the message that Dr. Hash had gone to be with the Lord. However, as sad as it is having to let go of such a dear brother in Christ, it is comforting to know that when we are ”absent from the body, we are present with the Lord!” After a long life of serving the Lord, he is finally HOME, deserving of these words from our wonderful Lord and Savior: ”Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matt 25:23).

My first encounter with Bible Pathway Ministries was in 1996. My husband, Paul, and I had just met each other in Israel. He was from Michigan and I was from Norway. He soon started to send me ”Bible Pathway” Magazines. He eagerly passed them out wherever he went. In Israel he was looking to find a person to translate the Bible Pathway devotions into Arabic. He did not succeed. However, he found a wife and a Norwegian translator!

Translating the Bible Pathway devotions was such a blessing and a privilege! Going through some ”desert walks” at the time, I was literally ”living” the Bible as I translated. I translated the book of Isaiah at a time where I needed it the most. I was excited to see the Norwegian translation on the Internet, and it was a great day when I received the first copy of the printed book from the publisher. I give all of the Glory to the Lord Jesus, He opened all the doors at the right time and gave me the strength and the tools to finish the work.

In 2002, two years after Paul and I got married and I moved from Norway to Michigan, we had the chance to visit Bible Pathway Ministries in Mufreesboro. There I met Dr. Hash and his wife, Letha for the first time. We had such a blessed time there, we greatly enjoyed their love and hospitality. It was an honor to meet with Dr. Hash and his wife, faithful servants of the Lord. We have also greatly appreciated the personal letters he has sent us through the years. They have been of much comfort to us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at Bible Pathway, may the Lord continue to bless you in your very important work for the Kingdom!

  With much love,

For as long as I can remember our church has used Bible Pathway to encourage young and old to study the Bible. Dr. Hash has blessed the body of Christ with the promotion and distribution of the Word of God. May we continue to be transformed by the infallible Word with such great intensity and devotion as he.

My condolences to the family. God bless you with grace and peace as you take comfort in knowing that Dr. Hash is with our Lord.

My late husband found an issue of Bible Pathways in 1978. Our child had died from a head injured caused by a car accident. Fifteen months later our infant was born primature, and died nine days later. Bible Pathways was my life support and is to this day. What an awesome way to daily read the Word of God. Thank you for this. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the family and everyone affiliated with Bible Pathways.

God Bless all of you

  Sincerely,
Jo-Ann Jacqes

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Hash during the early 80's. I am glad we were able to keep in touch over the years. He had a love for God and His Word. He had a strong emphasis on the indwelling Christ. His passion to share this with the world was very inspiring. John was a dear friend and precious man of God.

Heaven's gain is still our loss. I will truly miss him!

I would like to thank God for the life of Dr. John Hash and his wife. This ministry has sincerely touched my life. My mother began reading Bible Pathways about 8 years ago. I would see the book in the mail, but never really looked at it. Even though I am a Christian, I thought that I had enough to read without another book. But when my mother became ill in 2008, I began to read to her the daily readings. She has gone to be with the Lord and I have read through the Bible each year since and I continuely use Biblpathways as a guide.

May God continue to bless the staff of Bible Pathway to continue to spread God's word and I know that Dr. Hash and his wife are rejoicing with Jesus around his heavenly throne!
